Better Together Grants open now for all ROCs

ROC Association Director Kim Capen this week sought to remind ROCs across the country that the Better Together Grant application period is under way, urging ROC leaders to mobilize and take advantage of the five $2,000 grants.

The grants are available to any community affiliated with ROC USA network, and must involve a project that is visible. Projects should be led by a non-Board member.

From Kim Capen:
Can your community use a $2,000 grant? There are five such grants available to five communities in The ROC USA family in 2016.

Do you need seed money to get started on a community center, or need furnishings for a newly built or renovated community center? Could you use some safe
playground equipment for the children in your community’s playground or need to augment the existing playground equipment? Would you like to replace a tired old community entrance sign, or add some landscaping to beautify the entrance?

I’m sure most communities can make good use of free money whether it is for landscaping, new equipment, or renovations. To take advantage of this opportunity, all you need to do is make a strong case for being picked by having two non board members in your community fill out the request form available on this website and you just might be one of the lucky recipients.

All the requirements are explained on the application form and you must apply prior to June 13, 2016. Remember, this is competitive so put your best efforts into describing your need and Good Luck, we wish to deliver a check to your community.
