We’re really excited about our inaugural ROC Leadership Institute and want as many people to come as possible.
We’ve doubled the number of slots to better accommodate the dozens who apply and we’ve decided to extend the deadline for applications to April 2.
The Leadership Institute is a series of forums for discussing community issues and sharing best practices and solutions to the challenges faced by ROCs across the country. This event offers a broad choice and a rich array of quality workshops and learning labs. Attendees will develop new skills, enhance their leadership experience, and build new collaborative relationships with peers and national partners. Participants can then bring back knowledge and skills gained from this experience to effect sustainable, positive change in the communities where they live.
The event is modeled after the NeighborWorks® America Community Leadership Institute (CLI), which ROC USA® participated in for nine years prior. Though ROC leaders at the event valued what they learned non-ROC leaders, the feedback we got was to provide an opportunity to have more time with their peers.
That’s why we decided to hold this event geared exclusively to ROC leaders.
The Leadership Institute will be held on the campus of Southern New Hampshire University.
As always, participation is free to ROC leaders, with all room, board and travel expenses paid by ROC USA.
More information about the event and the course offerings can be found here.
Applications are available in English by clicking here and in Spanish by clicking here. Call (603) 513-2836 or your TA Provider if you have questions. Paper applications are available for those not connected to the Internet. We’ll announce acceptances April 20. The Institute runs June 7-9, 2018.
Heritage Coop is a new coop, signing purchase in April 2018. I could use information I would gain from attending the Leadership training as we Start on own pathway of Resident Owned Coop.
