The Award was created seven years ago in honor of long-time Trustee David P. Goodwin as a way to recognize an individual or entity whose support or involvement has made a difference in NeighborWorks Southern New Hampshire’s ability to address housing and neighborhood revitalization needs in this state. Sheehan Phinney is being honored in recognition of their many forms of involvement and support.
Sheehan Phinney was established in 1937 when trial lawyer John J. Sheehan joined forces with a young FBI attorney, William L. Phinney, to start a firm in Manchester, N.H. Over the years, Sheehan Phinney has grown steadily, attracting national and international clients. Today, the firm boasts more than 60 attorneys.
The firm’s work with ROC USA focuses largely on the community purchase process.
“We’re thrilled for Sheehan Phinney and offer our own thanks for the work they’ve done to help make dozens of resident purchases a reality across the country,” said ROC USA President Paul Bradley.
Bradley in particular praised the work of attorney Margaret Probish (photographed third from left), whose name and assistance he said most ROC USA Capital borrowers would remember fondly.
“The incredible detail in these kinds of real estate transactions can prove a formidable challenge,” he said. “We’re fortunate that Margaret’s diligence allows us to focus on what we know best – bringing the security and stability of resident ownership to more than 10,000 homeowners in manufactured home communities.”
