CONCORD, N.H. — ROC USA® is pleased to announce that Angela Romeo has been promoted to Vice President of Acquisitions and Program Manager of ROC USA Direct. She previously served as a National Acquisitions and Project Manager since August 2017.

“Angela is an acquisition professional through and through, with an extensive network in ROC world and a deep knowledge of the industry,” said Rob Wilson, Executive Vice President of Cooperative Solutions at ROC USA. “It’s great to see her embarking on the next step in her career with this new position, while also taking on the new challenges of building and managing a team. Fortunately for us, she’s deeply committed to ROC USA’s mission.”

As VP of Acquisitions, Romeo will continue to work with willing owners to determine if their properties are a fit for resident ownership and negotiate the terms on behalf of resident groups. As Program Manager of ROC USA Direct, she will build out the team, which will be responsible for pre- and post-purchase technical assistance for resident groups in 29 states not served by a ROC USA affiliate.

“I am very excited to take this next step in my career and for it to be with ROC USA. I am thrilled to be taking the ‘USA’ portion of our name to the field and bringing resident-ownership as an option nation-wide,” said Romeo.

“I look forward to building a team that can bring the ROC USA Direct program to scale quickly during these tough market times and ensure we continue to preserve affordable housing in perpetuity for those most vulnerable in our nation.”

Romeo brings more than decade of experience to her new role. Prior to joining ROC USA, she was a conversion specialist for ROC-NH, an affiliate of ROC USA, where she helped dozens of resident groups in New Hampshire exercise their legal right to purchase the land underneath their neighborhoods.

She holds both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree from Clark University.
