CONCORD, N.H. – The homeowners of two manufactured home communities in New Hampshire become landowners today with the purchase of Mascoma Valley and Lakeside cooperatives.

Mascoma Valley is a 27-home community in Canaan, N.H., and sold for $815,000. Lakeside’s 51 homeowners paid $1.78 million.

Each community worked with staff at ROC-NH, the ROC USA-Certified Technical Assistance Provider for New Hampshire. ROC-NH is a program of the New Hampshire Community Loan Fund.

The two purchases represent the 204th and 205th resident-owned communities affiliated with ROC USA. There are now 12,771 homes in 14 states preserved in ROCs. Since 2012, ROC USA and its affiliates have helped 82 resident groups purchase their communities for more than $176 million.

  1. My sister and I live in chambers village mh park in White River Vt and are looking to move to a location where we would be co owners in the park to abide by reasonable rules and be a part of ownership. We’d appreciate information, guidance and help in this. thank you

  2. Hi Judith,
You’ve come to the right place! I would start by clicking on “Meet the Communities” at the top of this page. You can search resident-owned communities (ROCs) either in the list or on the map. Some communities have websites that tell you even more about them.
You’re also welcome to call us at 603-513-2791 and we can put you in touch with folks who know more.

    ROC On!
